Best Ever Results
Year 9 have achived the best results ever
Year 9 are celebrating the best ever Key Stage 3 results for the school.
In a special assembly on Monday, 24th May, Mr C M David - Headteacher, congratulated the year group on their fantastic results. In the core subjects pupils achieving level 5 or higher in English improved by 12% to 71%, Mathematics by 16% to 84% and Science by 20% to 82%. Pupils achieving level 5 and above in all three subjects went up by an incredible 24% to 70%.
Many pupils excelled, gaining two or more level 7s in the core subjects:
Jack Thomas, Owen T. Davies, Caitlin Evans, Abigail Green, Molly Page, Beth Richards, Madelaine Rogers and James Sharrem.
Pupils showing outstanding progress since KS 2 included Connor Edge, Tyler Lloyd, Toby Holmes, Isabel Langborne, Aaron Strickland, Rebecca Lloyd, Sophie Howells and Kayleigh Summers.
In non-core subjects there were some exceptional performances with Nyle Birch, Owen T. Davies, Caitlin Evans, Robert Greenaway, Molly Page, Lauren Prosser, Beth Richards, Aaron Strickland , Jack Thomas and Kristian Tucker gaining one or more level 8s in History and/or RE.
Mrs Conway , Progress Manager, would like to congratulate the pupils and staff for all their hard work and thank all parents for their support, which made these fantastic results possible. Continuing to work together we can see every pupil reaching their potential at GCSE Level AND once again being Simply the Best!
